The  Pasadena  Playhouse  is   the recipient of the 2023 Tony Award for Regional Theater.

"Dear Friends of the Playhouse,

I’m delighted to share with you that this morning it was announced that Pasadena Playhouse is the recipient of the 2023 Tony Award for Regional Theater.
You read that right! We are now, and forever more, the Tony Award Winning Pasadena Playhouse.

This award is being given at an extraordinary time for our beloved Playhouse. The work on our stage is being recognized all over the country. The longstanding debts and financial problems are, for the time being, in the rearview mirror. And our audience and donor   is getting stronger and more diverse with each production. This is truly a time to celebrate.

In the midst of all of this unbelievable news, I’m reminded that this is just a snapshot in time. We wouldn’t be in this position without the hard work and dedication of so many people in our community, most especially the Friends of the Playhouse.

In our darkest days, the Friends kept the lights on (literally at times) and have been the crucial ingredient to our longevity and success.

This highest honor of the American theater belongs to all of you as much as our Board, staff, and artists. We all did this together.

Congratulations to the Friends and our entire (Tony Award Winning!) Playhouse Family. "

With gratitude,

Danny Feldman
